The Presidency of the Republic of Ghana has come under the scrutiny of religious and civil groups in the country after its disbursement of public funds to fulfill a personal promise the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akkufo Addo made to God during his campaign for President.

This has drawn people from all walks to share their unflinching thought towards the path taken by some Clergy men and the Presidency.
Among the notable voices that outcry the plight of the people is Captian Smart, a morning show host at Onua Tv in the Capital, Accra.

In one of the episodes of the Peoples Assembly, the Rev. Abraham Lamptey made a stand that the President has made a personal promise to God and for that does not expect him to use public funds to accomplish his dream.

He reiterated that the President in quest to build a temple should focus on developing the people in the country because the Bible describes the people as the very temple of God.
