The all-female, three times Grammy Award-winning legendary gospel group, The Clark Sisters are on top of Billboard Gospel Chart for their hit single “Victory” released in November 2019.
The song released as part of their new project “The Return” is the second single of the gospel group to have made it to the top of the chart after an impressive “Blessed and Highly Favored” in 2007.
Released on Friday, November 15, 2019, which marks the birthdays of Karen Clark Sheard and Twinkie Clark.‘Victory’ has resonated with gospel music audiences everywhere and the strong message, lyrics, and sound of the legends propelled the single to a number one status.”
“Victory” gives the listeners a word of encouragement reminding people to “declare victory over your life!” It finishes with the repetitive final declaration that “we shall prosper and be in good health,” with ad-libs that are truly signature to The Clark Sister sound.
It was written by Karen Clark Sheard and her son J. Drew Sheard II, produced under the family label Karew Entertainment, who also produced the record “The Return” and distributed by Motown Records.
